USMC IN THE PACIFIC
Dalton, Charles
Milton, Cpl.
Dalton,
Charles
Milton, Cpl.
gave his
addresss as
904 N.
Hoover,
Hollywood,
California.
he was a
mature man,
among a
bunch of
boys,
because of
his sharp
appearance
and maturity
he pulled
Captain's
orderly duty
often. He
had a
premonition
of his death
and often
said so, he
had deeded
all of his
property
over to his
mother
before we
left for
combat duty.
It may have
been self
fullfilling
because
according to
all reports
he had only
one fifty
caliber size
puncture wound
in one thigh
and If he
was not
rendered
unconscious
by the blast
of exploding
shells in
the
relatively
confined
bridge area,
he just sat
leaning
against a
bulhead and
bleed to
death?!?!?
