Rank was Coxswain.  Wounded November 10, 1942 during battle of Solomons, died from wounds December 20,1942 Naval Hospital Oakland, CA.  Buried Greenwood memorial Cem. Greenwood, Ar.

I have a Navy portrait of him and also his San Francisco Photo Album which contains some photos of the 1939 Equator crossing and South American Cruise.  Most photos are missing, may have been confiscated before releasing his personal effects.  I also have his shell back certificate.
