Ernest August
Lippman, 87, died Wednesday,
May 31, 2006.
Born August 16, 1918, in
San Francisco, he
lived in
Escondido for 39
years. He was a supervisor
for Pacific Telephone for 40
years. He served in the Navy
from 1941 to 1945 on the USS
San Francisco, and was the
last Pearl Harbor survivor
in
Escondido. He was a
ham radio operator, model
train collector and world
traveler. He was a member of
the Al Bahr Shrine and the
Church of
Escondido Creative
Center of Spiritual Living.
Mr. Lippman was preceded in
death by his wife of 59
years, Jeanne Lippman, in
2005.
Ernie will always be
remembered for his great
sense of humor; he was
always ready with a joke.
Interment will be at 10 a.m.
Monday, June 19, at Oak Hill
Memorial Park.
Alhiser-Comer Mortuary is
handling arrangements.
